My name is Emma Ribbens and I graduated as a Product & Social Designer at LUCA School of Arts, C-mine Genk with the Masterproject Nomadlab in 2017. 

​

In my work I focus on the importance of play for children in emergency and refugees context. I try to stimulate creative, social, emotional and intellectual development by designing different play opportunities.

​

Field research and co-creation are crucial in my work to understand the complex circumstance and to give me the chances to react against this inhuman situations.

​

Besides Nomadlab I work as designer and researcher for SMART nv, a Belgium quality and educational toy company where I mainly work on the Smartmax range.

Based in Antwerpen, Belgium
